Her passion for counselling came from my prior experience of working as a family physician in India (for 13 years), supporting patients not only to their medical health needs of patient, but also to their emotional health needs (as such services were not readily available). It was this experience that led her to pursue counselling psychology when she migrated to Canada. Manpreet gained valuable experience at non-profit organizations and had the opportunity to work directly with families, individuals and with homeless population (with mental health and addiction issues) and enabling them discover their own strengths and barriers, and encouraging them to consider change. In one-to-one, couple, family and group settings, Manpreet has collaborated with clients to assess and assist them to achieve optimal mental, psychological, social, spiritual, and physical health.
Her practice is guided by holistic approach with more emphasis on values and strengths-based approaches; and offers support and guidance to clients presenting with a variety of issues and who is able to empathise with individuals while retaining an objective and realistic approach to their treatment and therapy.
